I actually thought suggesting CDex was a good idea, but pray tell,
what *is* "proper" stereo? Using that kind of language blatantly
shows your bias. Joint stereo is used *selectively*, when it won't
lose stereo separation, unless you force it on all frames. Even if
you use 320 Kbps CBR, joint stereo helps.
