Fortunately things have changed at EMI UK since then! All their official
downloads are DRM free now; MP3 @ 320Kbps through the likes of 7Digital
etc, and AAC @ 256Kbps via the iTunes Plus service. - It's only one [big]
record company, but it's a start anyway!
