I'd be grateful if someone could shed some light on how this command
operates, as the help file is somewhat ambiguous to me.
- does the "maximise" command simply increase the overall volume of
the entire file, but not change the internal dynamics of the piece -
in other words, respecting the relative differences in dynamics
between loud and soft used by the musician (this would be something
akin to simply turning up the amplifier volume when listening to the
recording)
- or does it make changes to the relative levels of the file, making
the softer sections as loud as possible, such that the original ratios
of pp/p/f/ff used by the musician are no longer the same?
