The thing is that Vegas seems to be written from a professional audio
perspective at times.
If you were to go into a recording studio and say something about an
audio "rubber band" to the engineer, he'd look at you like you were
crazy, but the term "envelope" would be perfectly acceptable.
Before Sony bought out Sonic Foundry, their flagship products were all
audio products and Vegas even had some old version that could be used
as a multi-track audio recorder/editor. Which Vegas can still do now,
Sony just doesn't promote it, and it was a little cumbersome.
Anyway that's my 2 cents & my explaination as to why I instantly loved
Vegas, I was working in the audio recording scene way before starting
video, and Vegas just made a lot more sense that Premere or Avid.
