Ah, I'll look into that, thanks. I had bad experiences with Divx.
Don't know
why. I tried some encoding on it a while back, and it just produced a
picture
that was not as good as regular VOB or MPEG2/4, or even AVI. It was
bloody
slow to process also.

What I've done lately is use IFOedit and VOB Blanker and manually edit
the
VOB files on my HD. Guess what? It worked. Almost. The PAL disc
works
in my player now, but the problem is I lost the reason I wanted it to
work.
The subtitles. So the picture, menus, audio is ok, but I lost the
subtitles.

But when I pop the disc in my computer - subtitles are there.

I think I'm going to pull out my wallet, thin as it is, and buy a
multi region player.
