Frequently I'll see something that might make great B-roll for corporate
projects. So, I carry a small MiniDV camcorder in my car most of the time.
I also carry a monopod. I believe that with a little practice one can get
good shots with that set-up. Your body and your technique become the
stabilizing elements. Even good pans and tilts are possible within limited
ranges. No, it's not nearly as good as an easily adjustable tri-pod and
smooth fluid head, but it is way better than hand-held for many shots, not
to mention that the set-up time is much faster.
