This last line suggests that he's talking about DVD+R/DVD-R.
This is a debate that's been going on for a long time in regards to CD-R.
Some people say they fail after a few months. I've been making CDs for 10
years and not one that I've made has failed. CDs I've received from other
people have failed, sometimes in less than a year. I don't know what the
difference is.
I've been making DVDs for 4 years and haven't had any problems yet. If I
receive a burned DVD I make a backup copy of it. Nothing to worry about so
far.
