They are actually different to a certain extent. Typically a game will
have better graphics, frame rates, etc. on the Xbox version simply
because the Xbox is housing more powerful hardware.
I do understand your argument though. But in retrospect, can you site
any examples of two very similar video formats co-existing? If history
is anything to judge by, one of these HD formats will have to forfeit
the war after a few years...
