for the moment i monitor on both a ws 20" samsung lcd, and a 19" pro
sony hr trinitron. picture in sd looks pretty good on both. hd looks
infinitely better on the samsung, but then again:
a. i have no economical way of delivering hd to clients other than for
playback on computer.
b. a quick survey (by no means a definative one!) shows the vast
majority of people are still viewing sd, be it on lcd or crt.
c. the vast majority of 'hd ready' lcd's i've seen are 720p NOT 1440.
d. colour space between hd on lcd and hd on crt can be quite tricky.
when my clients can buy a hd player (be it bray or hd-dvd) for $200,
THEN i'll start worrying about 'true' colour rendition...
