It ties up the operator and the editing system, ergo, an editing rate.
If you can rent it cheaper but they won't let you take it off site,
can't you arrange to bring a laptop to the rental place and do it
yourself? You could use one of several editing or capture apps on the
laptop, some of which are less than fifty bucks, perhaps even free.
Scenalyzer comes to mind.
