Your response makes the parody even more amusing :-)

It was always attention-getting when the news teletype
(AP or UPI) started printing slowly or intermittently (vs.
the paper-tape mechanized normal pace) because it
sounded like a real human typing something directly
onto the line.

"Hollywood" (or at least the guys over on r.a.m.p.s) think that
anthing less than $1500-2000 is a cheap plastic toy and would
never appear on a professional set or location shoot.

A broken clock is correct twice a day.
(Once a day for industrial time. :-)

Sometimes I buy crap (or used or broken stuff) and fix it or
hack it, etc. just for the amusement of making a silk purse
out of a sow's ear. Clearly, this is not practical for commercial
situations.
