Dell small form factor optiplexes (pizza boxes) could be a pain if you
didn't know how its done. I almost bent the motherboad on the first one
I ever bought (SH) trying to lever the lid off until I found out you first
slide it backwards for about two inches and then simply lift it off.
It was the robsutness of the motherboard under such misuse that persuaded
me to buy S/H optiplexes ever since. None have ever gone wrong, simply
become obsolete.
The cream GX towers were brilliant, built like tanks, easy to open
and could take 4HD's at a time or 3 plus a CD/DVD, with a removable swing out
compartment which would house 3 of the HD's.
The later black GX270 etc towers which open like a book don't seem quite so
robust and each HD has to be slotted in individually.
