I use dedicated machines for my video editing \dvd authoring. I would not be writing a letter, nor
surf the internet or anything else for that matter, while editing. I have another computer for
that. Actually, I go way overboard and tweak XP to the point of stopping and disabling half of the
services (who needs dhcp when I can set up a static address, etc?). So, my editing machines are not
good for much else beside editing. I want them as powerful and optimized as possible.
