You don't really say much, so there are many possible reasons for your
being unable to download. Maybe you're a leech, and you're not
sharing anything. I try to be tolerant of 0 sharers who only want
small mp3 files, but many winmx users will just ban you and cancel
you. Maybe you're not setting AFS/AEQ to your most advantageous
settings? When you say that your search "comes back with lots of
available sources", do you mean that the search comes back with many
hits, or comes back with files that each have numerous sources
attached to them? When you search for songs, are you looking only for
MP3's with a high BR? A friend who uses WinMX said that RIAA fakers
seed the network with fakes meant to look like MP3's in the 320kbps
range - since my DL's go no further than a personal MP3 player, and
since I don't have much taste in music, I'm happy at 192.

No, I'm not a leech, I'm sharing lots of files! If it's available, I always
look for the highest bitrate, I prefer 320kbps, but some material just isn't
available with this bitrate. After reading a little, I'm convinced that
what I'm seeing are indeed fakes, 'cause there's so many of them and lot's
with a 320 bitrate. I don't seem to have any problems with more obscure
songs/artists, so in my mind, that's another reason that these files must be
fake.
