That said...
Back in those good old days the screens were worth looking at.
Jaws was amazing on the big screen, CE3K just as huge, Alien had the blood
pounding in my head and my knees drawn up to my chin. Blade Runner was weird
on the cinema. so much to see but so little to take notice of because it had
you hokked!
I miss the HUUUGE screen of a one screen cinema. Even a small thing like
"This... is going to be worlwide!" in Abba The Movie when the TV sized
picture opened up to fill screen...
But "The Empire Strikes Back", at the Odeon in Leicester Square (not quite
my regular!!!) Astounding !!
One of my eternal movie memories...
