I stopped going into blockbusters years ago because the pepole working
there and the people running them are complete idiots. I can't stand
the way every single employee has to greet you, like interrupting me
(and the person they're helping) to say "hi!" is going to make the
experience better. If there's one employee who hasn't greeted you,
they'll track him down via the intercom and tell him what aisle you're
on so he can say hi to you. The way these 18 year old idiots come and
say "is there something I can help you find" and I say "no, I've got
your complicated system of alphabetizing the movies down now" and then
they say "well what kind of movies do you like?" like someone whose
favorite movie is Too Fast Too Furious is going to tell me anything
about film. And the way when the line gets really long, it means break
time for half the employees.
