Well he hasn't gotten one from you, so the validity of that suggestion
is now severely at risk. The "real-time" alternative doesn't really
mean anything - whether the answer is posted in response, or was
written weeks ago and discovered after googling, it's still read at the
same time. Unfortunately, it also raises this troublesome question:
why should an experienced WinMX user chance his arm to respond to this
question when he'd and others had already done so repeatedly? This NG
works great when it's an exchange of information between knowledgeable
users and less-experienced users possessing more than the initiative
expended by a newbie who posts the same newbie question as posted by
900+ other newbies. Given that the NG falls short of that Halcyon
ideal, I'd be surprised if it will play host to the experienced users
for very much longer...
