I never shopped at Blockbuster - or any other "we got six hundred copies
of Armageddon on hand" outlet, because we have a very good video store
which offers some variety. Even that is starting to have financial
problems and I assume (barring a miracle) it will go the way of
nickelodeans pretty soon. But Blockbuster - at this point - really
doesn't care if you give them your money or not: it is run by
businessmen and I am sure they see the writing on the wall too, and
realize video stores are about to pass into the shadows of time and
changing times. If they're smart, they'll bail before the change in
bankruptcy law coming in Oct. I suspect they are planning just that.
