"Need" is a subjective matter, you are the only judge of that.
What intruders are you afraid of? RIAA and company? All the rest of
the internet scum?
If you are concerned with general threats, ask yourself this. Do you
need an anti-virus? How about an anti-trojan? Do you need a HOSTS
file? Do you need process guards? Do you need web filtering proxies?
Do you need intrusion detection systems? Do you need common sense? You
can see where this could go...
ZA and Peerguardian do different things. ZA is an application gateway
to the internet. Peerguardian is an IP blocker. They can complement
each other on different levels. Either to protect you from hackers or
from targeting by anti-p2p groups.
