Oh, you just reminded me that the first time I ever saw the word
'through' spelled 'thru' was in a Starwars comic-book, that I read in,
um, about 1978.
I was puzzled then, and it still makes me wince when I see it.
- Not that I dislike US spellings per se, but that particular one gets
on my wick.
