Doing this has been around quite a while. Back in the early and mid
80's I used to do this with cassettes. IIRC, the covering was folded
over on each end - you snake that loose with a sharper than hell
blade, slide it out, record it, then slide it back in. A couple of
*tiny* drops of crazy glue would seal the end just fine..
