You raise good points, but again, I answered them with my observation
that most stores, at least in my state, have a "customer is always
right" policy which translates into them making every effort to
interpret a circumstance in your favor. I have often asserted that
the sliced bottom edge of the cd case wrapping may have been the result
of kids playing with it at the daycare.
Hell, I once purchased 8 cd's and dvd's total, and came back an hour
later with a back full of plastic wrapping and empty cd cases,
complaining that when I opened them, there was no cd or dvd inside!
They refunded my money and gave me a coupon for 90% off of my next
purchase. I used that coupon the next day, then returned later with 5
empty cd cases and the same story, and they refunded my money again
just as quickly. Eventually they fired my girlfriend Kelly.
