Odd. I've seriously never experienced this problem. The only disc I can
recall off the top of my head giving me notable playback errors was a
copy of Candyman I rented, but the resulting errors lasted for all of
20-30 seconds of the movie. And I suspect it was more so due to the disc
being a "flipper" rather than scratches. This problem likely also varies
depending on how many careless, disrespectful knuckleheads you have
renting DVDs in your area. Here in Colorado most renters seem to be
handle the discs properly.
