Paul,
I think an apology on my part is in order, for thanks to your brilliant
explanation it now becomes clear, what actually caused the quoting
character problem as experienced by George Hester. Apparently the
problem was really there, but both of us didn't know exactly where to
look for a solution.
I've already altered the setting in my Agent news client to use 7bit /
8bit encoding. So quoting my scribblings shouldn't be problematic to
anyone as of now (hopefully).
Thanks a lot Paul for your excellent suggestion, and my apologies to
George Hester for doubting his initial hunch, that there was something
wrong with my method of posting to this (non-MIME oriented) ng!
