I've never used the .dll "patch", and I can say that I do NOT have an
"original" .dll file in my WinMX programs directory... I'm unsure exactly
how this file even works, or why WinMX would even bother to search for such
a file that never existed in the first place...

Just try deleting the .dll file, and putting all the crap back into your
hosts file. This should do the trick, but then again, I could be wrong.
Either way, deleting the .dll file shouldn't hurt anything...
