You read a whole week of posts on this newsgroup?
Wow. I'm almost impressed.

Then visit Google Groups and wonder no longer.

That's not exactly what he said, no, but by all means demonstrate exactly
how much comprehension you have of the topic at hand. WinMX was not
mentioned.

My history with George Hester goes back quite a bit further than "one week"
on this NG. Had you looked into that before jumping in with both feet, you
might look a little less ridiculous. Also, this is the WinMX newsgroup, and
as such, has nothing to do with the binaries hierarchy.

Why would I post anything to a binary group just because someone demands
it? It was 1@odds who wrote <quote>... "Now *who* is still the undesputed
champion at getting, or having, the very file someone comes here seeking?"
<end quote>... I merely "desputed" that claim.

Apart from myself, I'm sure there are others who are equally adept at
finding obscure tunes. His statement was grandiose, as was my retort,
although I did say as a disclaimer "I can pretty much guarantee..." The are
no absolutes.

Now, what guarantee do I have that George or anyone wouldn't report me for
violation of copyright were I to post on demand to the binaries? I
certainly don't need to announce my participation in activities of
questionable legality in a public forum, which is archived.

Obviously, not closely enough. If anybody could "do that", then ask
yourself why 1@odds didn't. The point is, it's *available* - and doubtless
has been, and will be again, ripped and shared across different networks.

It's been out of stock for a month on that particular website, it's
available on others, all one has to do is look. It's not out of print, it's
not some "holy grail" of a lost recording, it's *available*. Whether for
sale or for share, it's not impossible to get. 1@odds made the comment
about "seeing me in a million years", so finding a copy in less time than
that is quickly enough by my estimation.

Oh dear, now you are just blithering. All my music files came from a
storeshelf somewhere, or do you believe in the mp3 fairy? As for the rest
of your spittle-drenched accusations, well, I'm sure you're convinced you
were both clever and scathing.

More of that witty repartee and sparkling wordplay with which you are
quickly establishing your credentials on this newgroup. If you think you
know anybody posting on usenet (even after considerably longer than a
week's worth of lurking), then you are not only sadly mistaken, you are
delusional.

Then for god's sake, get your head out of the oven.
I think the fumes are getting to you.

"When I'm good, I'm very good... when I'm bad, I'm better."
And it's spelled Linda Ronstadt.
