Am I the only one who archives back-up copies to recordable media? Easy
enough to copy a disc or two of high quality rips to the HD (reformatted or
virgin), and share away. Even if one is brand new to the whole P2P scene,
doubtless all they have to do is ask their friends how it works - and
borrow one of their cd-r "collections" if necessary.

I would say the whole idea of "beginners" is past its sell-by date.
