Today, DVD Verdict posted reviews of AREA 88: TREACHEROUS SKIES (TARGET
ONE), BITTER HARVEST, DAPHNE IN THE BRILLIANT BLUE: GETAWAY (VOLUME 3),
IN THE DUST OF THE STARS, KOI KAZE: THE DECISION (VOLUME 3), RACHIDA,
and REFLECTIONS OF EVIL:
AREA 88: TREACHEROUS SKIES (TARGET ONE) (reviewed by Mitchell Hattaway,
overall score 88/100):
"As can be expected, truncating thirteen volumes of a manga down to
enough plot to fill twelve anime half-hours results in a very episodic
show; other than Shin's desire to return home to Japan and Makoto's
quest to get his prized photo, there really isn't much connective tissue
to be found in these episodes, nor is there much in the way of character
development."

BITTER HARVEST (reviewed by Eric Profancik, overall score 81/100):
"I want to mention again the acting of Meaney and Murphy in this movie.
It is exceptional. I've seen much of Meaney's work over time, and this
is a bravura performance by this man; I don't believe I have seen him do
anything better."

DAPHNE IN THE BRILLIANT BLUE: GETAWAY (VOLUME 3) (reviewed by Mitchell
Hattaway, overall score 87/100):
"Those barely-dressed mercenaries known as the Nereides are back for
more fun. This third volume contains the requisite number of fistfights,
gunfights, chases, and jokes, but the episodes presented here also push
the story in a couple of new directions and answer some nagging
questions."

IN THE DUST OF THE STARS (reviewed by James A. Stewart, overall
score 87/100):
"Who knew that cosmonauts have red leather disco outfits in their
official wardrobes?"

KOI KAZE: THE DECISION (VOLUME 3) (reviewed by Joel Pearce, overall
score 90/100):
"This volume is a fitting end, a conclusion to the series that is
thoughtful, touching, compelling, and horribly uncomfortable."

RACHIDA (reviewed by Ian Visser, overall score 80/100):
"With unflinching honesty, the actors and director portray life on the
edge of conflict as dangerous, fleeting, and often heart-breaking."
FULL REVIEW: http://www.dvdverdict.com/reviews/rachida.php
REFLECTIONS OF EVIL (reviewed by Bill Gibron, overall score 94/100):
"Playing like a perverted version of the Me Decade staple ABC Movie
of the Week, with a little Night Gallery and Gary Collins-era Sixth
Sense thrown in for good measure, this cinematic rant is a brave,
baffling film."
