".dll" fix compared to using the "hosts" file patch:
"If you are currently using one of the modified Hosts files to connect
then it is strongly advised that you switch to using this patch as the
host files restrict you to specific peer caches, this patch also
contains additional features such as blocking the RIAA that should help
the network out a lot."
Furthermore, it can of course become a little tiresome to some people,
if they find they need to update their "hosts" file again and again,
because a revised version of the patch is being released every couple
of days.
As far as any problems concerning the use of the ".dll" fix, a bug in
that ".dll" fix has been identified and resolved with the release
(10/10/05) of the latest version of "WS2_32.dll". Looky here:
