Greetings,
Has anyone encountered the problem i am having ?
I am running windows98se,
winmx v3.54beta, secondary connection.
my problem is this, when i start winmx it hangs, trying to connect,it will
not connect, i don't know what made me check but i discovered that my
"hosts" file was missing from the windows directory.
I closed winmx, copied the "hosts" file from a backup to the windows
directory,
restarted winmx and bingo almost instant connect, working again !!

However, i shut my pc down last night, restarted it this evening, logged on
and tried to run winmx, again it wouldn't connect, i went straight to the
windows directory and discovered the "hosts" file had "disappeared" again.
Anyone have any idea what could be making the "hosts" file disappear?
