Da-DA-DADA-da...Da-DADAda..:)
You know, there were a number of POPCORN songs..including a series I
recall by JAMES BROWN--about the time of the tune mentioned ("Hot
Butter" written by "Gerrson Kingsley"), and remember "John Seely
Asscoaites" [aka "Capitol Produciton Music"--the fellows who, during a
1958 musicians strike, filled in for Looney Tune music directors Milt
Franklyn and Carl Stalling - WEASEL WHILE YOU WORK, A BIRD IN AB
ONNETT< PRE-HYSTERICAL AHRE, GOPHER BROKE, HOOK,LINE & STINKER & HIP
HIP HURRY - controversially for a while?]
Well, if you've ever seen the old black and whites of the 1960-1972
comedy with famed actor Fred MacMurray (1907-1991), MY THREE SONS
[ABC/CBS], the "pre-Technicolor' William Frawley, or seen one of the
above Warner Bros.shorts (WEASEL..,during opening titles),or have the
old Rhino HANNA-BARBERA'S "PICK-A-NBIC BASKET CLASSICS",filed under
(1959 QUICK DRAW MCV GRAW segment) SUPER SNOOPER (underscore) right off
in volume onbe, is a song (by Seely/Capitol affiliate EMI's
ghostwriter Philip Green) titled..POPCORN..sounding NOTHING like the
song we all know and (in some cases!) love by that name!
By the wya,the 70s hit POPCORN sounds like that old Hit Parade Lawrence
Welk French instruemntal, THE POOR PEOPLE OF APRIS< in terms of rhythm.
