in some areas of the world back then, you could buy ZX81 Kits and
assemble them yourself.
At first I believe the asking price was only about $50 less then
assembled.
As one of the last Dealers in the USA my partner and I bought a lot of
spares. I still have some of the spare parts from unassembled Kits
collecting dust somewhere.
