A quick search on keywords "artist", "support", "in favor" "rally",
"P2P", "file sharing", "pro" and in some combination, reveals a number
of individual mentions of those who have spoken out in favour of
peer-to-peer, and/or against the actions of the RIAA on their behalf.

Since this appears to be something you're keenly interested in, perhaps
you should set up your own webpage and invite submissions (with a link
to verifiable info) on those artists with the good sense to know that
file-sharing actually benefits their industry, when conducted in a
non-profit sense.

You can include Janis Ian, Grateful Dead, Dave Matthews, Smashing
Pumpkins, Steve Winwood (and I believe, Moby) for starters - those
being just the names that come immediately to mind here.

Sounds like it could be a good project for a long winter's night.
