You can burn MP3 files onto a CD, and play them on a CD player that
plays MP3's - they're more expensive than standard audio CD players,
but not by much, and they'll play hour of music off a single disk.

You can also use a program like Nero to burn audio CD's using MP3 files
that it will convert into the older standard. However, I just
recommend getting an MP3 CD player.
