I'd like to be able to "sync" podcasts with an MP3 player as easily as
iTunes does with an iPod (or so I hear, I don't have either). Can
anyone recommend non-Apple player/software combinations that will do
this?

I'd like to be able to subscribe to podcasts, and then have them
automatically download to my player whenever I dock it, with no
intervention on my part. And I'd like to avoid the expense of an iPod.
