Guys, relax! Did you read my post? You totally misinterpreted what I
said!!!!
I wasn't promoting music piracy in any way shape or form. I was
comparing purchasing music online to purchasing CD's at a store. A lot
of people don't read the fine print on these services and compared to
CD's at the moment, they seem restrictive.
I own recording equipment/editing suites in different studios, I often
transfer data from system to system, I don't like restricting my media,
when it's bought for and used by me for my own personal use.
I actually joined eMusic, which I love, and is where I get my MP3's
from. EMusic's catalog is in MP3 format, has no limitations and is
encoded at high datarates. But of course -- eMusic doesn't offer much in
the way of selection of new mainstream music. For that, I buy CD's.
It's not a money question for me, I can afford it -- it's what you get
for your money that I have a problem with here!
