I have dozens and dozens of purchased concert video DVDs and I'd love
to listen to them on my iPod, but after ripping the songs off the DVD I
have to type in all the song names by hand. Is there any software out
there that does this automatically?
I know the song information is detectible from the DVD (or perhaps from
a CDDB-type lookup). I know this because I can play a DVD concert
video with Windows Media Player, and WMP knows enough about the DVD to
list all of the names of all the tracks. Unlike movies, where there
are just "chapters", WMP knows how to find the names of each song/track
in a concert DVD and list the names of the songs.
I've tried a half-dozen DVD rippers on the market, but none of them
"detect" the titles of the tracks like WMP does, and of course WMP
doesn't rip DVDs to mp3. Every DVD ripper I've tried just lists the
tracks as "Chapter 1", "Chapter 2", instead of the names of each
track/song.
Is there software out there that detects song titles on concert DVDs
and creates the correct mp3 tags when ripping the DVD?
Thanks,
-Mark
