Sorry for the confusion.
Files on computer are MP3 format. Should be able to just drag and drop them
to the CD, but therein lies the problem.
Both players which are supposed to read and play MP3's will either show a
"no disc," read the wrong number of files on the disk and pause in the
middle of a song to switch to what it thinks is a new track or essentially
time out reading the disk looking for tracks.
I have a few dozen disks made in the past on the same computer which play
just fine in the new players, but all of the sudden I'm having trouble. The
fact that these old CD's of MP3's play leads me to think that something
other than the new players are at fault. I would suspect the CD/RW
hardware, except that it correctly reads and plays the new disks on the
computer just fine.
Puzzling ???
