Exactly. You basically just need to put together either spot color artwork
in something like Adobe Illustrator or if it's art that requires something
like a full color photo, do it in Photoshop as a CMYK or RGB image and any
disc printer will be able to get that art printed on mass produced cds.
If you're only doing say, 50 cds, as someone else mentioned an Epson printer
such as the even cheaper 200 which costs less then $100 and a spindle of
Memorex white faced printable cdrs ($20 - $40 or so) will get you
outstanding results. Then if you want, you can use an acrylic spay fixative
found in any art or crafts supply store to give a light overcoat on the cdr
after printing and it's completely scratch and smudge-proof on the art side
of the disc. I do this all the time for my own personal cd music discs and
they look far better then most factory produced cds.
