When you close Winamp it saves a playlist named "WINAMP.m3u" of the
current songs in the Winamp folder. The next time you start winamp.exe
it will load that playlist and begin playing with the song being played
when it was previously closed.
I don't know where it stores the "resume" info...there are some resume
entries in winamp.ini under [wkc] but I have no idea what [wkc] refers
to. One thing for sure, it is stored somewhere.
The *only* time I've ever had Winamp resume was whan it loads the m3u in
its directory...any other has always started with the first song.
