I have seen people with a victrola, but I don't think we ever owned
one. I remember buying lots of vinyl, had an 8 track player, bought
quite a number of cassettes, and frankly, don't even own personally a
CD player. My kids have had a number over the years, my wife has one,
and there's a dvd player and cd drive around the house.

I only started buying CDs a few yrs ago. I enjoyed for the most part
the sound. But when I first started listening to my mp3 player, it
sounded, to me, as if the sound were much better - even though I was
using cheapo headphones...
