Think of a FLAC files as a Zipped WAV file: if you converrt FLAC ->
WAV, you'll end up with a file that's identical to the original WAV.
But if disk space isn't an issue, there's no harm in ripping direct to
WAV. IIRC dbpoweramp will rip to WAV without any addional plugins.
It also has a nice batch mode that let's you point it at a directory
and recursively convert to your chosen format, preserving the directory
structure. Download it and have a play.
