Some clues:

Websites you should look at: www.slyck.com www.eff.org www.riaa.org

A phrase you need to understand: forced uploading

A search term you should use: riaa lawsuits

Another usenet group to read (please read before positing, your
question gets answered there about once a week):
alt.internet.p2p

Software to look at: a Bit torrent client - Bit Comet, for example,
but there are many others, Shareaza and eMule. If you understand the
previous clues Grabit and other usenet binary harvesters might be a better
option for you than P2P. If your ISP doesn't offer binary groups spend a few
bucks for a premium service. Prices start at around $7/month for a limited
account with Buzzard News and top out at $25/month for an unlimited account
with Giganews. Might be worth it even if your ISP provides binary groups.

Something else to understand: the options don't end there.
