I use Windows Media Player 10. It's great for organization. It will:
1.) Organize your songs into folders.
2.) Rename your songs according to how you want them formatted.
3.) Get missing information and cover art.
4.) Track your ratings and other information, like number of plays.
5.) Rip/burn your songs. Can rip and encode to either .wma or .mp3 in a
variety of formats, including variable.
6.) Search your drive (or specified folders) for media files.
It's very non-intrusive. It'll easily do anything described above, but
it's all optional. If you don't want it changing file names, it won't.
Like the files where they are? That's cool, too.
