Would that also make a 2.1 system unnecessary i.e 2 speakers and a
subwoofer? Or does it make sense to get 2 speakers and a subwoofer
instead of just 2 speakers when it comes to listening to mp3 music
files?

But left side would be different than the right side I hope, or? In
other words, I would still hear in stereo, right?
