It would help if you said which mp3 player you are using, maybe someone
else on the group has a similar model or brand which works in the same
way.
My player will play the tracks in the same order as Windows 98 displays
a file list when you sort it by filename. (XP deals with numbers
differently) It plays all of the tracks from it's internal memory first
in filename order, then plays the tracks from it's mmc card.
If this isn't the case it could be possible it's playing them in order
of the file creation date or something else. Noting the order in which
the tracks are played and then comparing them to the files in window's
'detail' view may help you work it out...
