An AAC that you will do is NOT Copy protected. Think of it as a just
another way to rip CD's. Your AAC's are not the same as those you buy
from iTunes they can be played by anyone on any machine just like MP3's
(assuming they have the AAC codec...).

AAC's are NOT lossless, they are like MP3's in that there is some loss
of quality on converting it back to say CD format.

You can rip the CD in Apple Lossless and this is just what it says but
the files are larger and you must have enough space to hold them.
