Welcome to the group.
Everything I have seen so far says that the iPod Nano has playlist
support, and nothing that I have seen says that it can only hold one
playlist at a time.
I don't like iPods much, myself.
I think you ought to talk to your daughter... see if she's leaning
towards any other brand in particular. Yeah I know it's not exactly easy
to do that without giving away that you're getting her an MP3 player for
Xmas. ;)
Otherwise the first suggestion I'd make is the Creative Labs Zen Nano
Plus, or the Creative Labs Muvo Micro (same thing with a different
name). Unfortunately right now these only come as big as 1GB.
iRiver and Samsung also make great flash MP3 players, but again they
don't make them any bigger than 1GB right now. So rather than starting
your search all over again, maybe you could just compare the prices
between stores for just a few of these.
