Yes. Software comes with the player to do this (at least with the
Creative players, and I assume with the iPod as well).

Get something small, with no hard drive, i.e. the iPod Shuffle or the
Creative Muvo TX FM.
See:
Actually this is $105 in the stores, but more on-line for some reason.
Just got two yesterday.
Advantages over the iPod Shuffle:
1. FM radio
2. Doubles as a USB memory stick
3. Less expensive
4. LCD Display (Shuffle has no display)
5. Don't have to play songs in random order like on the Shuffle
6. Can organize albums into folders, unlike the Shuffle
7. Equalizer, unlike the Shuffle
8. Includes armband, unlike the Shuffle
9. Replaceable AA battery (use an Energizer lithium AAA cell for best
results). I do not like non-replaceable Li-Polymer rechargeable
batteries as used in the iPods because it's so expensive and so much
of a hassle to send it back to Apple for battery replacement. There
are companies offering kits to replace the battery yourself for
around $30
