<quote Walmart site FAQ> Can I transfer the music I download to a
portable player?
Yes, you can, as long as the player is able to play WMA files
encrypted with Digital Rights Management software. (Note: Apple
iPods currently do not play WMA files). Please refer to the
documentation that came with your player to determine if it is
compatible with WMA-format music and the DRM encryption.</quote>
Sounds a bit limited to me, yes.

Oh, I'd say they did.
<quote Walmart site FAQ> Can I send a music download as a gift to
someone?
At this time, you cannot send music downloads themselves as gifts.
We may add that possibility in the future. Please consider sending
a Music Downloads Gift Card instead.</quote>
Yep, seems a bit limited.

Yes, you do "get it for good". For what good is open to a lot of
interpretation. You get to keep the song but you can only do certain
things with it.

You should learn more, a lot more, about what the terms involved mean and
how they apply before you end up spending a lot of money for very little
in return. It could turn out to be an expensive lesson.

Yes, for better or for worse.
> So I think Walmart should be okay.
Do ya now? Why is that? They aren't even dealing in mp3 songs and this
is, after all, an mp3 newsgroup. Exactly how does that make them okay,
even disregarding all the other ways they aren't okay?

You really should learn more about the information yourself before
issuing this sort of FYI.
